Buying a Ram 1500 4x4
I'm looking to buy a '98 Dodge Ram 1500 w/ 4x4. I'm getting a really good deal cause my mechanic is getting me the hook up. $5000 for a 98 that just got a new tranny dropped in. the engine has 112000 miles on it. I was wondering is anyone could suggest some things to look at closely before buying this truck also any service that might be needed on the truck shortly after purchase. I want to make sure I'm actually getting a good deal and not a POS. Anyway please help me to make the right choice on this truck.
plenum gasket, look down the throttle body for oil on the bottom of the intake.
Tracbar... almost always loose.. change to a DT tracbar
change the diff fluids and switch to synthetic oil in the motor.
do a search for more stuff... i'm sure theres more but it's late and its past my bed time...
