Default Locker ?

Hi, i have a 2000 ram and i'm wanting to put a full time locker diff up front, I know the axle will unlock, but my front driveshaft will always be spinning and this is my daily driver. Question is will my driveshaft turning all the time break anything?

no, the drivshaft spinning will not break anything, my truck doesnt even have a CAD, so everything is always spinning.

HOWEVER! With one axle connected and the other not, there will be a constant load put on the driver side hub because it will be turning your axle, locker, gears, and driveshaft, while the other just spins freely. It will most definatly make your truck pull to the left while driving on the street.

Now with this setup do i have to be stationary to engage 4 wheel drive? Also i'm not sure if this came out of a older chevy or dodge but should this have the same splines as my dodge inners? is there a kit i need?

a spool is never a good idea for a front axle on a street driven truck, although tempting, your better off spending more money on an lsd like a trutrack, or even better, an ARB locker

You can get a selectable locker up front.

Or why not just put a detroit in the rear?
