if you tightened standard bearings with an impact, then its way way way too tight !!!

75 inch pounds would be about 6 to 6.5 foot pounds which would be about finger tight, maybe a tad more.

the way i used to do it was tighten it finger tight, spin it, tighten again, then use a pair of pliers to tighten it to the next tighter cotter pin slot. then wiggle the wheel top to bottom. if it was loose, tighten it one more slot. when it didn't wiggle, it was good. then spin the wheel, it should turn freely with no resistence. if it bound, then loose it back one slot.

well, i backed it off and and finger tightened it......ive drove it and i believe its all good.....i woke up with a fatlip and a sore nose this mornin.....
