Wink Former Bowtie only Girl......

I just bought a used 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Ext. Cab 5.2, 5sp 4x4....only paid $2600....but am having some transfer case issues....ugh....

This is my first Dodge Truck....i was born into a bowtie family and have decided to rebel a bit....i have always been drawn to the curves of a Dodge when they changed the body style in 1994........and the fact that i am a chick working on my own truck...says something i hope....i am truely a redneck woman.....these forums really seem to be a bit "Macho"....lol.....

I am looking for any tips to trick out my truck....more than the Camo/Pink Ram heads and Country Girl stickers i have installed in the glass......

Please feel free to email me with any tips....i am a girl who works on her own vehicles....and have fixed a ton of Chevy's....but looking at a Dodge is like trying to read Chinese.....

I'm going to move your post to the 2nd Gen Ram section where people with like interests will see it and respond. I had a '98 for four years and modded the hell out of it. Got an '04 now and have done all the work myself except for the gears. Feel free to check out my albums. I think I might even have a pic of the old '98 1500 RCSB 5.9 4x4 in there.

Welcome to the forum...

Welcome to DF. Although the 2nd gen Rams have some probs like any other make truck, they are way easier to work on, IMO. If you've been doing Chevy's, your Ram is going to be a piece of cake.

Welcome and what kind of x-fer case issues? Could be the snap ring in the housing...they have been known to break. What are the symptoms?
