Default HEMI swap info anyone?

Wondering if anyone might have some links to good info on slapping a HEMI in our 2nd Gen trucks. I've been seeing some dropout 5.7 and 6.1 engines online for not too bad o prices. The idea of a 6.1 in our little reg cab sb sounds like a lotta fun!

You would need pretty much the whole drivetrain from the same truck. You'd need transmission, all the wiring, the computer, etc. etc.

It'd be cheaper to buy a used 3rd gen with the Hemi, to be honest.

I'm finding some complete drivetrains for around $3500-$4500.

If you're gonna go through the trouble of dropping a whole new drive train in your truck for a hemi, do yourself a favor and get a 426 hemi. Seriously. I've never seen anyone do it yet. It'd be totally original, and I don't have the money to do it. So do it. do it do it do it do it.

Do those drivetrains you're finding including wiring? Computer? Etc.

And are you doing this yourself or paying someone to do it for you?

+1 for the 426 Hemi. That would be awesome.

The setups I've been looking out are complete with engine, trans, comps, wiring, all that. I'd be doing it myself if my shop. 426 is an interesting idea, if not a bit on the spendy side.
