Yeah that is a nice looking truck. Are you going to tint it? What mods do you have planned for it?

No offense, but they sure saw you comming. My buddy just picked up a black loaded 08 for around the same price (around 20,000) less than 6 months ago. They are practically giving them away at the dealer and they automatically come with the lifetime powertrain warranty. As long as your happy though, thats all that counts. Wish you luck!

I was going to say that but I didn't want to be a downer. It looks like a great truck but to be honest I've heard of others getting way newer trucks for around that. I've heard of people getting 09's for mid to high 20's.

However, most of them probably also a 19 year old kid financing it. So I'm sure that doesn't help. I think anytime you buy a used truck from a dealer you are going to pay a lot for it.

Doesn't seem too bad. Looked up comparable here and the price seems in line with what you'd expect for something with that low of mileage. I noticed the other night when looking at C.L prices seemed a bit higher there then here. Would not say he got a steal, but you rarely do at a dealership. Outside of leather it seems fairly well equipped. While I don't care much for the Ram body styles outside of 2nd gen, that particular gen in black with 20's is a sharp truck.

Nice truck. Always been a fan of the 02-06 taillights, smooth and separate bulbs for brake and signal. I don't like the 07-08 "bubbly" taillights with the dual element single bulb.

If they made a very similar aftermarket taillight like the 02-06 style for the 2nd gens, I'd be forking over the cash in minutes for a set.

When I told him what I was thinking, he whipped out the magazine and showed me the level of repair on each model. Of course, Toyota was at the top, Dodge was at the bottom. He asked me why I would consider buying something that was going to "live" in the shop. I shook his hand, said, "Thank you for making my mind up for me", informed him that I was a member of Consumer's Union and that he was prohibited from using our magazine for sales purposes.

I hopped in my Jeep, drove over to the Dodge house and bought the Ram. In 11 years, it has spent a total of 8 hours in the shop and has NEVER left me stranded ... even after driving the snot out of it. All makes have their problems ... some specific vehicles are lemons ... this forum is only a snapshot of people's experience with their trucks. Most people are here because of a problem ... how many folks would become a member just to say, "Everything's great ... no problems"?

Pop on over to a Toyota forum and look at some of the recent posts.
Its the first thing I noticed becoming a member here is "This keeps breaking" or "This keeps falling off/apart" " this keeps needing rebuilding/ replacing" "this keeps failing"

You will NOT see that on a Toyota forum. Mostly what you will see is "what size tires?" and "how can I upgrade?" "what type of winch," etc posts.

Dont take my word, make Google work for you!

Sell your dodge and RUNNNNNNNNNNN!
Sammy!

Yes, I didn't get a steal, but I definitely found a truck that was well worth the money. It's almost scary, I got the truck for exactly my deadline. I was preapproved for a $15k loan, and I sold my truck for $7k. Now I am going to use my tax returns and put it towards my loan immediately. I'm very happy about the whole thing. My entire family loves the truck. It takes a lot for my dad to approve of the silly stuff we buy, but even he thought the truck was like brand new. To top things off, the salesman told us the best we could get for a warranty was a 4 year/48,000 mile comprehensive warranty, but I still wanted to buy it. After I bought it, the finance manager told me he found a 7 year/78,000 mile comprehensive warranty, so I'm very happy about that! I also have a dealership 2 month/2,000 miles bumper to bumper. He said if I hear any weird noises to bring it back, and they will fix it. Overall, I'm just very happy. It's EXACTLY what I wanted. Something with low miles, four doors, all black, and looked great off the lot

As for modifications, I don't plan to do much. This is why I love this truck so much, because I don't have to do much to make it look great. All of the Fords would have needed a lot of work to make them look cool. At some point, I do plan to so limo tint in the rear 3 windows, and I'm just going to put legal tint in the front, I don't want to mess around with being pulled over in this truck. Do any of you guys know if a catback exhaust and a cold air intake can void a warranty??
