Default Installing A Trailer Hitch? (kind of long)

My truck didn't come with the tow prep package, so of course, it didn't come with a hitch from the factory. The original owner (I am the second owner) had an aftermarket hitch installed, but it is rusting so badly that I can poke holes through it with my fingers.
I would like to put a new hitch on, obviously, since this one is now useless, and also, I run 285/75/16 size tires, and the current hitch barely leaves room for the factory 245/75/16 spare, and I really don't want to get a flat and have to put on a tire 4 sizes smaller than the rest. I believe that you can fit up to a 285 with the factory mopar hitch.
So basically, is the mopar hitch a direct bolt-on item, or is it welded in from the factory? If anyone could lend some advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

That's good to hear, how did you work the wiring? My current hitch has a four wire plug, and I think the mopar one has 7? I don't want to mess anything up on my truck when i undo the wiring form the hitch that's on there now. I'm not good with electrical/wiring stuff at all.
