Tranny on my 99 is slipping into daRKNESS. Shifts like a chump from 1 into 2. Truck needs to be babied until it shifts otherwise the engine will just over-rev when the slipping occurs. From then on, if I punch it it'll either totally slip or get dropped into a lower gear to then slip into submission. Only way this thing goes anywhere is if I drive like Mrs. Daisy until freeway speeds where the tranny will lock up and I've got a direct link from motor to wheels.
I'm looking to rebuild the tranny I got but am not 100% sure upon what parts I should get.
I've been looking around and the things I came up with were as follows
Auxillary Tranny Cooler
Trans Go Shift Kit
Master Rebuild Kit (From APS) Thanks HomeTheaterMan for the constant props throught all your posts regarding their products... It Got my attention.
Modfication to Valve Body to allow contstant fluid flow
Removal of valve in tranny cooler line to allow for better flow of fluid during start ups
High Ratio Shift Lever
Thats what I got on the drawing board for now. Any suggestions from those here who have taken this task on themselves are surely welcome. Thanks in advance...
