yes, also true... I lost 1.5~2.0 mpg in it when they went to the ULSD. I still am however able to easily get 18 mpg on the hiway unloaded... best yet is 20.6 mpg coming back from Washington.
that sucks. I stay away from gas with ethanol in it. even 10% makes the difference between me getting 15mpg and about 13.5 and that's not a one time observation.
80$ core charge. which will be refunded when you return yours. i also kept mine. just incase.lol donnt expect huge hp gains. it doesnt work like that. mine just plain ran better and smoother. i like it though. you will feel a little hp increase in the upper rpms. just donnt expect a miracle. it works in conjuction with other mods.
Wait, so are you sayin you can return your TB to the dealer?
Then get a fastman?...
I'm just confused a little.
You pay an 80 dollar charge for the fastman TB at the dealership, then take back your old one and get your 80 dollars back?
no. its a core charge. you pay $380-something dollars for a fastman TB, from fastman. after you put it on, you send him your stock TB and he refunds you $80.
he uses this stock core to re-machine. that's how he makes his product.
some people elect to keep their stock TB, so they can put it back on somewhere in the future, and re-sell their fastman for cash. so it ends up costing them an extra $80.
dealership has nothing to do with any of this.

^^ Or, you can do like I did and just send him your TB if your truck isn't your primary vehicle. Turnaround was 5 days for me, and that thing is a work of art.
