If you had cleaned it rather than replacing it the chances are good that you could have saved your self $60. In my world, that's almost a tank of gas or a week's supply of beer.

Sounds like a good week to me. I probably could have saved but I just felt like starting over new.

The fastman guy's stuff looked clean to me when i put it on. Not sure if it's new, I think they just take stock ones and make em bigger.

OK, you're getting confused here. Steve was stating that rather that just replacing the IAC you should have cleaned both it and the throttle body. Nowhere did you state that you had just installed a Fastman TB.

With that in mind, when I installed my Fastman TB (which was while rebuilding my engine) I cleaned up my very dirty IAC. I've had no problems with either in over 50K miles, and the IAC is the one that came with the truck over 177K miles ago.
