Official New Tire Thread
pcfixerpro suggested this in another thread, and it seemed like a good idea. We all need tires at one point of another so I think it would be a good idea to compile all this into one superthread so it would be easy to find.
I made it a poll too with alot of the common tires brands, but I'd still like everyone to post what specific type they have, or have had, and their experiences with them. Sizes would be good too.

did that to me too
exit the thread and come back in.
Current tires - Uniroyal Liberator A/T. Nice tred wear (lasted me 4 years) They have some dryrot going on and sill have useable tread but think it is time to try some new tires. Watching this thread for some reviews on some A/T's and some M/T's
btw, thanks Cereal

great thread. Only problem is I have only had one of these tires...
The BFG A/Ts I have aren't the most bad ***, but they have held up pretty damn well. that's my $.02. plus I can't vote... must not have been a member long enough yet?

285/75-16 BFG AT KO ... fantastic on the road when new. Now, that they're about 4.5 years old with 40K on them ... treads getting thin and the rubber is getting HARD so they suck in the rain. I'm getting a lot of squeal when it's dry, too. Basically, traction has really headed south with age.
I'll be replacing them with the same brand and style but in a 305/75-16 (with pumped up coils).

I run Michelin LTX M/S tires. Great wear and traction for a street tire.
Discount tire's Pathfinder tire are absolute crap. only about 27K wear on 2 different sets.
no opinion on a mud or off road tire.

My Favorite is Interco tires. I personally have 33x12.5 Mud King's on my truck right now. They are awesome in snow and mud, and do good on the road too. Not to bad on the sound level either. I have 7,000 miles on them and absolutley no show of wear on them! They even have the nipples yet in some spots. Next set will be boggers... just because they are so cool.
In my opinion...
BFG mud terrains are a great all around tire and last quite well on a DD. Haven't had a set of the new ones yet.
BFG all terrains perform excellent in most conditions accept mud and have a great tread life.
Kumho mud terrains (cant remember the exact name) hook up great in everything but have a very soft tread compound and don't last long on the road.
Goodyear MTR's hook up great in everything (I think even better than the BFG in the snow) and last a considerably long time for a mud terrain.
The Cooper Discoverer MS (strictly a snow tire) are absolutely fantastic for wintertime daily driving... but the Hankook snowy may be just a step ahead.
SS boggers pull good off road, but are a completely not acceptable for a daily driver.
No, I am not a tire salesman, and I do have personal experiences with these tires on my own vehicles.
My personal favorite for my daily driven truck is tied between the BFG muds and Goodyear MTR. Although both are expensive, I believe they are worth spending the extra dough.
