i got the posi lock fixed water had froze solid around the fork..so i put a new axle seal in and its working good...also we went and got a 97 ram 2500 how do you know if it is the heavy duty or not? also what are all the differences between the 15oo and 25oo other than axles are there realy any benefits of the 2500?
what gears would the 25oo have in it stock?
did any of the these trucks come with factory tranny cooler or are they all aftermarket?

Measure the leaf width ... or check the GVW. Besides the suspension and drivetrain, the 3/4 ton has a 12" frame v. a 9" on the half ton.

No idea what the gearing would be. Mine came with a secondary cooler. Part of the tow package (I think).

 

Stock gearing could be from 3.55's to 4.10's, it just depends on the truck the axles come from.
