Default how strong is the 4x4

new to rams, got a '94 1500 4x4 auto, just wondering how strong the 4x4 system is? anything prone to breaking?

i also have a 94 4 wheel drive and mine has always been strong. never had a problem with it. it looks like u will be using yours in the snow. i use mine in the mud mainly and i have never been stuck so in my opinion its pretty strong. as far as stuff breaking... not really so much breaking but if your not having transmission problems now, more than likely you will. it seems like the 94-99 models have alot of tranny problems. my tranny is actually going out now. i dont have a second gear so just mainly be ready for that

no second gear? so when it shifts what does it do when it is supposed to shift into second?

Y'all saw this one coming ... if you didn't, you should have.

STRONG ... I use mine regularly on wet pavement ... 95K miles and counting. Zero ... and I mean zero ... drivetrain maintenance.

Well ... new plugs at ~45k and an occasional oil change ... maybe 4 or 5.

The 4x4 is good I have been stuck on the skid plate before.

THE 4X4 system is very strong just dont high side on the center of axels and you will never really get stuck

remember dodge's dont get stuck we just park them where no one else can get to....
