TB modd Trigger Happy
I got what I think is an open and shut question. While doing the throttle body mod, I got a little trigger happy and over bored the bores by no more than a millimeter. If you hold the TB up to the light with the butterflies shut, it looks like an eclipse from the light peeking threw the gap. My question, can I still bolt it on with out a problem or do I need new butterflies?
well, air is going to pass through that gap, and will lean it out. the pcm won't know about it, so it won't know to compensate more gas. it'll be like a vac leak and increase idle speed. the pcm will compensate by closing up the IAC.
results are unpredictable. just try it and see...

MANN!!! A circle??? out of aluminum??? That sounds like a TALL order. Just kidding. Sounds good, I'll have to put that on my "to do" list. Thanks for the quick reply fella's!!!
Did it effect you gas consumption? does it waste more or less gas?
not sure yet,, haven't had it on there to long, and the wreather is all over the place in to ohio so my mpgs change, and i have been driving a little harder..
most time i get about 15mpg(5.2/2wd) last i check 13.8 but it cold out and i may have a bad pluemum gasket,, i don't think i have lost mpg if i keep my foot out of it

J415: you'll be fine. I over bored mine as well. Just reset your PCM and it'll relearn and close the AIC at idle a little bit more.
My truck took about 100 miles or so before the PCM figured it out. My idle is right where it should be now.
