It's not the check valve itself that is the problem. It's the debris that gets caught IN the check valve that kills. If your tranny is coming apart, the check valve will catch crap coming through the cooler line, block flow and cause a meltdown. Either way, your transmission needs work.

thanks for all the help but i found the problem. When i got out of work and actually had light i got under my truck and found a sensor broken off the tranny. I ghetto rigged it for now until i get a chance to replace it. It shift fine now.
