HEY ZMAN17,JASON W,DAKOTAS RAM, & VWandDOGE
I bought a set og the E3's and will install them this afternoon as well as the new 8.5mm Jegs brand wires.
ok i installed the E3 plugs and the Jeg's brand 8.5mm wires. I routed the wires per the TSB ( that was a beyatch ) and then fired her up. so far so good and yes I feel a big difference in the performance, smooth idle, and throttle response ( no more slight bodgging down ). My commute to work is about 55 miles 1 way and so if there were going to be any hiccups I would have noticed it. truck ran great. I can't believe that these trucks come from the factory with those spark plug wires routed that way. i don't remember them being like that when i changed them out. anyway fo far so good. The plugs I took out were Autolites and they only had 2K miles on them so they were relatively new. I'm sold on those E3's.
^^ The problem is that the spark plug wires wear out over time, hence why it takes so long for the symptoms to occur. Since you were running Autolites, I can only conclude that they were part of your problem. Seems like you have finally been able to eliminate the problem.

I just hope you didn't have to replace that stuff when the wires might have done the trick to begin with. Just don't chuck the old stuff, and keep it for the next troubleshooting procedure.
naw i always keep them around. i carry the stock coil in the truck just in case i have issues with the high output Accel I installed. anyway it would eventually need it and i had it in the plans to make the change anyway. i just can't believe you have to route thos danged wires like that. Do they come from the factory wired like that?
