OK maybe someone can help with this. I bought a set of Pace Setter shorty headers and installed them. There are a couple of bolts that were hell to get to because of the bend in the header pipe. I managed to bent then pipe slightly at the flange in order to get the box end of my wrench in the bolt head. I cranked down and cranked down yet when i start the truck i still hear a very mild spitting exhaust sound at the driver front side under the #1 cycl area. Now it's not sounding as it would if you had a bad exhaust manifold gasket but loud enough to know it' there. any tricks or secrets. Oh and yes I did let it go through the heat up and cool off tighteneing cyle a few times. Thanks!
I that little pressure broke the weld then they can have them back. But it wasn't there that I bent it in. I tried finding the locking type but there were none that had my thead type in any of the part stores. I managed to get them cinched down pretty good. I can get a socket on the 2 in question put i can't put the ratchet on it.
Remflex gaskets, stage 8 locking header bolts. I torqued the ones i could and got the ones I couldn't as tight as possible. Threw the locks on and never had a problem. I didn't even recheck them after the warm up cycle deal.
