Exhaust Question
i had the super44 on my 99 with tha 318 and it was dumped off before the axle and it sounded amazing with the stock cat my dad hated it when i would come over and when i would leave cuz i would rattle his windows with the exhaust lol and it screamed under heavy throttle i have pics on my other album if yall wanna look srry no videos
I need (want) a new muffler and want to put in a Super 44. My question is will I lose that 44 growl and tone if I dump it before the rear axle? I would put a tip on it as well. Would i be better off just using the stock tailpipe? I really want that "slappy" tone, but want to spend as little as possible and get rid of as much of the stock exhaust as i can.
Headers --> highflow cat --> super 44 3" SI / 2.5" DO dumped before the axle.
That is how I have mine setup as my cat-back duals setup rusted out. A friend cut the pipes off since he needed a section of 2.5" pipe for his truck. I love the sound, it definately pushes more sound inside the cab (which I wanted as you usually had to stomp on it to hear it.) I will tell you I have my muffler pushed back really far under the bed and dumps with 45's pointing at the axle and it drones like a **** at 2 grand. No one wants to sit in my back seat because of it. Just something to consider.

LOL
I personally love the sound of my setup. I have pacesetter shortys, high flow cat, 40 series si/do. Its stright out the back with big tips
Id go with the Super 44 flowmaster becuase the cherrybomb extreme is only aluminized and will eventually rust out! The flowmaster has a better quality to them and there bigger, bigger for a big truck it better. And plus you can get it in black! Lol!
