Default odd running problem

alright so heres my issue. lets see if i can decribe this well enough...

usually when im driving my 95 5.9 just cruisin, its fine. when i come to a red light and sit there for a few seconds, i can feel a slight "skip" or "shake" through the truck every so often. then when i go to take off its hesitant and chugs alittle. tonight actually stalled out when i went to take off from a light, but before it stalled, really buck'd and chugged. made some knocking sounds too.

also, when i put it to the floor, it really chugs. RPM's will go up to 3000 but the truck wont go anywhere and it sounds/feels like its really struggling to do anything. but if i just roll into it, the truck goes fine. its almost like its got a clogged cat or something, but thats only a little over a year old and not making any rattles or anything like that.

so far i have replaced the intake and plenium gaskets. plugs, wires, cap and rotor. new distributor(broke the little screw hold the cap down off). i have a new coil to try, but at this point im tired of trying this and that, i just want an answer.

im thinking maybe my fuel pump, but i dunno! had a check engine light, but that was just an EGR code. (had a vacuum line hooked up wrong after i did the intake gaskets.)

try redline fuel system cleaner, it could be clogged up injectors.

well i feel kinda dumb, but i solved my problem today! turns out it was just the coil going bad. so after all that time and effort, it was what i thought it would be....something small, cheap and simple!

but on a side note, i did happen to fix other issues. my overdrive lock up and cruise control work again! (probably was due to my brake light switch going bad and replacing that.)
