Default Warranty vs. Transmission

I drive a 2000 5.9 ram 1500 sport. According to my mechanic i will need a new transmission sometime in the near future because it i throwing tc codes and codes from insided the trans its self( i dont know what the codes are).

I just got something in the mail about renewing my warranty. I didnt even know that i had one but i was thinking i should go ahead and get the warranty and that will cover the trans replacement when the time comes.

Any suggestions on what i should do?
What about experiences with the warranty?
... would it cover the transmission replacement?

i would call the company that sent you the warranty information to make sure it is legit.

Verify it's a legit warranty, but what code(s) is the transmission throwing exactly?

most of the extended warranty companies are ripoff's.
once they have your money, you'll never get $hit out of them. they just deny your claim for any of a 1000 bull**** reasons.

another

here's a good one. they deny a claim for a cracked head, as "not covered".
only after an investigative reporter does a story, do they decide to cover it.

the catch all denial

wow. so i should probly stay away from the warranty. have never dealt with a warranty on a car before but the pre existing condition would probly allow them to argue that i already needed a trans.
