We lost a 12 foot sheet of sheet metal going 70MPH down a four lane highway on Sat. The wind was blowing like crazy, and I just knew for sure that damn thing was gonna hit someone's car. Once I got the truck stopped the sheet metal passed us, and every single car was serving like crazy to avoid the metal. It landed right in the median of the highway. Thank god it didnt hit any other vehicles on the road. We did get flipped the bird a couple of times while trying to retrieve the sheet tho, and I have came to the conclusion that if I EVER lose something of that nature again going down the road.... I am NOT stopping.

I was driving on 101 in California and while switching lanes, I stepped on a shovel that I didn't see with the passenger side tire. I flipped up in the air, and almost hit the car behind me. A convertible, I might add. Thank God know one got hurt...scared the crap out of me though!!!

Dude, it causes cancer.

That being said, its your choice. You can do whatever you want with your body, as long as you don't take a puff and blow the smoke in my face.

Back to on topic...

My wife had a box of clothes fly off onto the highway once. She was helping her grandparents move a month or so ago from their house into an assisted living complex. We have two five foot tall boxes (when assembled) that you can put a thin metal bar across inside to hang clothes up, so you don't have to take them all off the hangers, pack them, move, unpack them, and rehang them. They have a bottom and top as well, so you can completely protect the clothes.

Anyway, she lost one going 55 or so down the highway out of the back of her parents' Frontier. As they are picking up clothes off the highway, trying to avoid traffic, her grandfather suddenly bends over, grabs something that was partially covered by a shirt, and exclaims, "AHA! THATS where I put the checkbook!"

I was coming home one day , at a stop light my truck got really loud. I gave ti a little gas and all of a sudden i hear Bang , and i look in my rear view just in time to see my muffler hit the ground and bounce over the little honda that was tailgating me. He droped back , and i sped up. I didnt even bother going back. The guy in the honda probally left skid marks that day.

This was during the time when i clamped on the mufflers to try differnt ones to see if i liked it or not , theyd stay on for about 1 week , and then id replace them with a differnt one. I didnt tighten this muffler on all the way like i used to. lol

Tobacco use prevents Parkinson's.

When I was moving to Texas (1983 or so), I was driving a '77 Buick Electra with an X1/9 in tow through the outskirts of DC. HEAVY traffic. I'm tooling along at about 60 mph when the car starts doing this slow, easy sway. I back it off a bit and it clears ... then returns. I take it down to about 50 ... clears ... returns. Eventually get down to about 35 and it's now gone. I say, "There is now way in hell I'm driving all the way to Texas at 35mph" and tach it back up to 60.

About 1/2 mile later, there's a heavy "YANK" on the car and a 12 foot rooster tail of sparks shoots up behind the Fiat. I slide over onto the median ... just wide enough to take the Buick ... as a tow truck pulls in behind me. A quick look shows that the left rear tire has come off the X1/9.

It's dark, and traffic is buzzing by at a pretty good pace. I run back about 100 yards and find the tire leaning up against the center guardrail. Great ... but what to do for bolts? I had the truck driver pull one bolt from each of the other three wheels to mount the escapee. He didn't want to charge me anything because the show had been so entertaining and he was impressed with how slickly I had slid the cars into such a narrow spot. I paid him $20 anyway.

IF something flies out and some one gets hit, cars get damaged etc and you get caught its the same thing as a hit and run.
