Sounds like a short, Did u make the harness , or use a unversal chrysler to alpine adapter? if you made the harness , are u sure u wired it correct? For only the sub to come on , it sounds like some wires are crossed. I had a diagram that had all the colors and charts for the ram sound system , as i was doing my radio in december and had to make my own harness, Ill see if i can find it for you.
As for me thats all ive got. Maybe make sure something didnt get unpluged when u took the dash faceplate off, A wire could be loose.

no its the one from chrysler then the one that came with my cd player...i was thinkn i jus crossed up a wire when connectin the two but ive checked it like 5 or 6 times and i just dont get it cuz the radio will work but then the gauges dont and if i unhook the radio the gauges work but right before the gauges shut off the odometer reads "no bus"
Since you "hardwired" it in, you might want to look in the merry Christmas thread. It has a PDF file of schematics on a 2001 ram. That should help you find out which wires go to what.

yep thats a good digram you made Maxx, It sucks i had a infinity premium setup , and i couldnt get the amps on the speakers to work , so only my tweeters worked. I replaced the speakers with new keenwood 5 way 6x9`s , only running two speakers right now.
