rear panel removal help
i am trying to replace my speakers in my 96 dodge ram 1500
can someone tell me how to get panel off
do i need the trim removal tool to remove the trim or could i just use a regular tool?(heard from friend)

just did mine a month or so ago, and if I recall there are only a couple screws and the rest are just the push in christmas tree type clips. I think there is a screw holding the inner door handle on that has to be removed first.
edit: this is for the 4 door quadcab, if yours is a 96 I don't think it would have rear doors, so disregard this...

ya its club cab (extended cab) but i heard it had something other then christmas trees holding it in

What he said, but all my interior panels are laying in the garage right now, wouldn't be hard to trim out the sheetmetal for any size speaker.

first you remove the rear seat for better access then you need to take all the screws out and remove panel.I do believe that the panel behind the rear seat has the tree type push in's. You can use a small carpenters pry bar for them, had mine out many times to shampoo the rug and to make sure the floor is not rusting plus to throw down a coat of wax before i install the rug and panels
