Default 14x3 air kit

Ok so i dont want to spend 350.00 bucks on a K&N cooler intake. So i see a lot of people on here that have 14x3 on em. Ive called around and know one seems to know what the hell im talking about. What do i have to do to fit a 14x3 air kit on my truck? Is it a kit? is it custom built? And where can i order it from? How does it fit and is it better than a k&N cooler intake?

Use this one

You also might have to get a crankcase breather filter or connect your air filter with existing breather cap.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy would they do that? Seriously its covered in the links. With a bit of fab work you can run the stock breather tube into the AC assembly as well.

Sorry to say but if you can't figure out how to get a 14x3 chrome air cleaner (after reading the links) from any parts store put on your truck, you do not want to try an install a K&N system.

EDIT: I know that previous statement might sound harsh, it wasn't meant to be so. There is a bunch of personal experience behind it.
