Mileage, Mileage, Mileage
Ok, I know this is the age old question on here about gas mileage but I would like to know what can I do thats going to get me the most MPG for my 5.9 3/4 2500 with 4.10 gears other that trading it in on a Geo......Not???? Its 100% stock other than a K&N CAI which was no big help at all except to make more sucking from under the hood. I appreciate any ideas thats out there.............Thanks
Right here. This is what I'm getting if my plenum gasket ever blows out.

Also check out the ramair box. Supposedly it's good for about 2-3 mpg gain on the highway.
Other than that just drive somewhat sensibly.
15 mpg is about the best I usually ever do in my 1500 with a 5.9
Although I've gotten as good as 16.5-17 mpg on a constant 55-60 mph trip. But that's with 3.55 gears and 33 inch tires.

Not really sure. Probably just a PCM flash. But if you're interested you should contact hughes and find out. I'm sure others could benefit from knowing as well.
Hell if it really gets 6 mpg better it would pay for itself in a year or so.

- run high quality synthetic fluids in diffs/transfer case/transmission & motor (I use AMSOIL)
- put on some highway tires with really low rolling resistance and run them at max inflation pressure
- do a Seafoam tretment
- try to drive at constant speeds as much as possible
- put on electic radiator fans
- install a Hi-Flow cat
etc.

Thanks for all of the ideas, I have been kinda thinking of the elec radiator fan.... I also would like the kit that swaps the non service hubs out to lockouts but right now after I have been laid off 900.00 is a bit pricey.........Thanks again
The best I ever got was 17. I was babying it and on a big rigs a$s most of the way. That was with 245/75/16 on 3.55 highway tires. I just took a trip 2 weeks ago and got 13 I was doing 75 most of the way its a hill trip.
If moneys tight like it is with me right now, then bone yards are your best friend!!!
