I have a PML and have no complaints. I don't believe my tranny runs any cooler with it, so I'd also recommend installing a temp guage if you don't have one.
IMO Having the drain plug is worth the cost of the pan. It beats trying to install one in the steel pan and ending up with a leaky mess.

a few things to know. the 727, 518?, 46RH, 46RE, 47? all have the same shape, and the deep pans are listed as fitting all of these. the pans are also advertised as holding 1-2-3-4 qts over stock.
well, yes and no.
the 46RE for our trucks has the solenoids in the bottom, and the pan is already deeper than the 727. The summit pan that claims to be oversize, is oversize for 727, but is actually smaller than the 46RE (and won't fit).
The Hughes, PML, TCI, and Magtec are all oversize.
Note the difference of Magtec 727D vs 727DD. same as bra size. one's a hell of a lot bigger than the other.

what squirrels doesn't tell you is that it takes about 5 gallons of expensive atf+4 to fill up his double-deep (DD).
