13yrs of performance upgrades, still rate Magnaflow h/f 3" cat #2 bang for the buck.
The cat gave my Indy .3sec average 1/4m et reduction when first added spring 99. Saw a further .15 off ets when it blew its guts out the side exit exh (7days after passing etest lol)
Expect about .5 off ets(4x2/rc/sb) or slightly better if you straight pipe it and dont run a cat.

#1 is ramairbox with K&N 14x3" filter & twin 4" ducts from foglight location. Cost was under 200 & gave almost .5 off ets (compared to stock airbox/filter) Procharger is almost at the bottom of the list. Made the most hp/trq & 1/4m gains but also cost $5250+ so every tenth off cost around 15x as much as it did per tenth that the ramairbox reduced ets

my truck actually did smell like poop a few years ago. just cleaned the truck out and had walked away when the cat had jumped in the cab and i didn't know about it and shut the door. damn thing was in there for 4 days. you wanna talk about opening the door to a horror scene...

Well, it has been more than 6 years and the cat is rattling so it needs replacement. Still like the magnaflow but now the best price is 274! Ouch. Also, the "stainless steel" rusts. Since I'm moving in a week 2000 miles away, I had better replace it. The pipes are still okay so should I just get the cat or the whole new kit with y pipe? Also, anybody know anything about warranty? The site claims lifetime but I never registered it. And autobarn is out of business it seems. Anybody find it cheaper?
