Is 3" the size of the outlet pipe or the inlet pipes?

94-99 is 2" pipes off the manifolds squished into a dual inlet 2" cat and 2.5" out

99-01 is 2 " pipes of the manifolds y piped into 3" single inlet cat, outlet is 3" then reduced to 2.5"

Obd 1 trucks I highly recommend completely gutting the cat. I did mine about a month ago and wow the truck came alive. It was rattleing like hell and with only 1 o2 sensor I decided to gut it. It cost me a 15$ cutting wheel and a case a beer. I cut 3 sides out of a square bent the side up removed everything then bent it back down and rewelded it. As far as obd2 trucks I wouldn't reccomended it due to the fact the computer monitors the cat via the rear o2 sensor

You sure? Even Magnaflow's website is showing two inlets. Are Sports different than other models?

Lone Wolf- that's just the cat. I ordered the whole kit again with Y-pipe. Part 23285 I believe. Going in about 2pm today. Funny how I had to call 6 shops before one would agree to do it. I actually had two "Muffler and Exhaust" shops tell me they don't weld! What?!?!?!

According to the diagrams in the FAQ section here, 2000 and up trucks are single inlet cat, regardless of "sport" or not. Easiest way to know for sure? Crawl under there, and look.
