84 dodge d100 4x2 3.4L 225. Had it 3 years and couldn't keep the oil in it the last few months I had it. Then got the current ram. Also have a 81 chevy k20 as a project.

My Dodge is also the first truck I've ever owned. I haven't had a 'Vette, though. My brother did when he was in high school, but that was a CHEVette; not quite as cool :P.

I went from a VW Passat to this truck. My history is (started driving in 1991):

1981 Buick Skylark; 1983 Mazda GLC (first manual xmission); 1987 Mazda 323 sedan (stick, had a month before I managed to total it); 1986 Mazda 626 Coupe (loaded, also a stick); 1989 Mazda MX-6 (stick, plain jane); 1995 Dodge Neon (auto, actually sort of fun to drive, didn't have much off the line but it had a nice little kick in the pants if you punched it on the highway); 2000 Dodge Neon (gutless and horrible gas mileage, auto); 2001 Grand Am (hit head on by a guy having a seizure); 2001 Cirrus (YUCK!, burned up while sitting there, not running, no key in the ignition); VW Passat, and finally the truck.

I sort of wish I still had the Passat, but it was in need of expensive repair, so it was time to get rid of it. Of course, the truck has cost me at least as much, but at least I was able to do most of the work myself.

Fun times...
