Default Rancho Shocks

Has anyone used Rancho shocks? Any comments?

I checked on Summit and it listed RS5262 for the rear and RS5195 for the front.

My '96 Ram is stock, no lift.

I have the Rancho twin tube self adjust (forget the model number) In all honesty they were nice and firm for the first two days until they broke in. Im comming up on a year now since I installed them and the truck feels loose as it sometimes rocks back and fourth more than I think it should. I noticed you have a 2x4 so you might like the softer ride, but I know next time I need to find something stiffer.

Thanks for the info.

Tirerack has the Bilstein HD shocks (F4-B46-1907-H1 Front and F4-B46-1908-H1 Rear), and I was trying to figure out if the Ranchos or Bilsteins were better.

I never had Ranchos on my Dodge but I did have them on my 1998 GMC Jimmy and they
were good for a month or so then I thought they were junk. I've got Bilstiens on my Dodge
and love them. Had them on for, well i can't remember, like 6 months at least and I still
like the way it rides.

Based on comments on this and other threads, I am going to try the Bilsteins.

I'll post back when I have them installed.

Thanks for the input.
