I have never heard of two WEEKS! That is just crazy. I guess it might have something to do with what climate you live in though.
Legend here is one more tip: When you clean your windows, do not use anything with ammonia in it. It will discolor the film. Lumar recommends a mild soap mixed with water.
I have had really good luck with Stoner invisi glass. It is tint safe, and it leaves no residue like soap and water will.
As a general rule of thumb, the tint film is usually safe after the initial bubbles disappear from the original install. By then the liquid used to adhere the film is typically dry.

ok. i skimmed the responses, but im still just gonna give all i know.
first off i watched this video once and tinted my windows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StFgj...eature=related i had no prior knowledge. My suggestions besides what the video says, yes it is worth it to buy a squeegee. yes you need a razor blade, (razor knife) and do change blades after each window. as for their spray stuff, if you do aabout a 35%:65% to 25%:75% soap:water solution it is just as good. but a spray bottle is deffinatly needed reguardless. and if this video doesn't help much just search youtube. there is plenty of videos.

I did the tint in my ram a year ago and it was my first time. I went to Napa and bought a set of bondo spreaders (which work really good), a tack rag to get all the dust and whatever you cant see, windex, razor blades and, paper towels. Oh and of course the tint. I tinted every window except the windshield and it came out awesome. Nothing has peeled since. Just don't tint to the tip of the windows for the ones that roll up and down. leave a little for the window to go up into the door frame. My brother told me to put some clear fingernail polish around the edges or super glue to keep them from peeling back, but i never did. I used to live in Maine and now i live in Florida, the tint has seen some Very cold days and now some very Hot days.
