Tint Question
Ok guys I have all my tint but I got a serious dumbass question. I was just wondering how does the tint not peel up on the front windows when you roll them down?? If I give it like a day or two without rolling the window down will the tint peel up when I roll it down? I know its a dumbass question but just curious. I know that can't really happen because then nobody would ever tint there windows. I normally drive with my windows down in summer so I just want to make sure that the first time I roll my windows down after the tint job I will not have it peel or come un-done right away. Input/advice is appeciated.
A guy who does window tinting is doing it for me, I ain't touching it. But just wanna make sure I ain't wiping my *** with money here lol.

Thin film and it has adequate adhesion to not move?
Had my fronts done over a year ago, and never had any issues no matter what wi weather throws at it.
And I didn't wait any amount of time before rolling up/down windows.

All GOOD shops will tell you NOT to operate your windows for at least 24 hours. This gives the adhesive time to cure. If the install was done correctly, the tint should go down PAST the rubber seal on the inside of the door. This prevents any kind of "rubbing" on the edge of the film.
...and I take that back..I may not have rolled down my windows for the first 24 hours. If it's what legit shops tell you, I could have been told that, and don't remember. I don't remember having to wait, but it was over a year ago.
The two shops that I have used both told me not to, and most of the other shops I have been at say the same thing.
I dont think it makes that big of a difference, because when I got my tint done the first time I made it about a mile down the road before I lit a cig and I had to roll down the window.
I never had issues out of that film. The only reason it got replaced was because it was 20%, and it was too light for me.
The other two times that I have had my tint worked on was due to some dirt under the film, and When I used to carry a rifle around in the cab with me (it lay across the two bucket seats and rubbed a hole in the film.).

I had mine done by a pro.. they used water soap and a little super glue.... after I picked it up they said they leave the windows up for 2 weeks to allow all the water to dry and pull the film tight to avoid peeling and bubbling
+1 i was told 1 week min. 2 weeks for optimal...for the window tint to properly adhere...i kept em up for 2 weeks and the Tint looks great havent had a problem with it
Maybe it wasn't as dumb of a question as I thought lol. Ok I fiqured I wouldn't roll my windows down for at least a few days no big deal at all. I was told at least 48hrs. If y'all got more tips or insight keep it coming! I've learned alot already from this thread... lot of stuff I normally don't read about.
