2001 Dodge Ram Off-Road Edition Lifted - Pics
I would have to agree on 4.56 gearing. I was at first wondering if I should have gone with 4.88s when I got my 4.56s, but I'm glad I got the 4.56s. They are about perfect for my setup and the way I drive. 4.88s would have given me even more off-the-line torque, but the engine would've been spinning another 200 - 250 rpms or so higher on the interstate in OD, which would make my already terrible mpg even worse, if that's even possible...

ron 33 I'm with you I also have 4:56 and was wondering how good the 4:88's would have been but spoolling almost 2 grand in over dr sucks up enough gas I'm glad I didnt make it worse with 4:88's
If you are talking about diff clearance... the only thing that will ever increase that is tire size. No amount of body/suspension lift will every incrase your diff clearance. For frame clearance... he just bought himself 2" from the tires (37-33)/2 and ~5 inches from the suspension lift. There's 7 inches...
Now... the bumpers got raised an additional 3 inches with the body lift... that will affect your approach and departure angles. That's important for people with 4 wheel drive.

Ta duh!

Hey guys I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 sport off road edition with 35"s on her and a k&n air tube intake also, does anyone know of a good chip/tuner I could get to give it a little hp it lost ith the 35"s

SCT will give you the most power, but a superchips 3815 will adjust your speedo.
4.56 gears will also give you back that lost power, although the 4.10s you have arent bad.

Looks awesome. I wish I could lift mine like that. . . Minus he chrome rims (I'm not a fan of chrome) don't mind viper, he clearly knows very little about 4x4s and probably drives a pinto. . . He just doesn't know how to spell lol
