Default Body lift?? Yes or NO??

I bought a 2001 ram 5.9 4x4 . I know nothing about it. Ive been told i have a 2.5 lvl kit on it. Tire size are 265/75/16. Im wanting to put 35's on. Do i need a body lift? Ive been told that a body lift aint all that noticeable on it. what do you guys think? The truck below is the truck!!

You can run 33. If your going to do 35 look into 3.92 or 4.10 gears.

That truck does not look like it has a 2.5 in leveler on it... look above the front coil spring, is there a round block between the frame mount and the rubber pad above the spring?? It really just doesnt look like there is 2.5 in leveler on it, because I have a 2.5 in level on mine, and a 1.5 in add a leaf in the rear and my back end still sits just barely higher than my front end...

I agree that there is no 2.5 leveling kit on it. and to run 35's i would look into a suspention lift instead of a body lift. body lift's throw off the center of gravity and you get twice the body roll while turning on a stock suspention. also look into 4:56 gears for 35's. oh and welcome to DFalso

Thats a false statement. A body lift only lifts the body, while a suspension lift lifts everything above the axles, which means more weight is raised with a suspension lift than with a body lift... which in return would mean the center of gravity would be higher on a suspension lift then a body lift. But, when talking about 3" it is so minute anyway that it really is even noticable.

But yes, welcome to the forums!

OLYELR did you ever ride in a stock suspenion truck w/ a body lift. I had one. it sucked the body rolled to much plus body lift's work there way loose and some times the body will shift. If that's what you like then go for it but for me I will never get a body lift again only suspension. plus with the suspension lift you are more likely to get wider rims with a deeper offset in with that the wider the stance the less body roll. chances are if you get just the body lift you most likely arent looking to get wider wheels just taller tires.
