Default Performance programmer for V10???

Does anyone here know which programmer, chip, tuner is the best for the V10. I have headers and magnaflow exhaust, and it still is a gutless turd. I have 35'' tires on it, but it isnt very impressive. How much does it cost to get the gears changed? its four wheel drive so I will have to do the front diff too, right??

yeah have to do both front and rear gears, unless you never plan to use 4wd again, id take it to an offroad shop if one is near you, they usualy know a great deal about re-gearing, no idea on the programmer, the v10 really isnt a fast truck if thats what your going for, its just a powerhouse.

Default Powerhouse????

Like I said before, mine feels like a gutless turd. But I think my gears are to tall. Im trying to remember but at about 115-120mph my Rpms are around 2000-2250. Is that normal?

i dunno what gears you have, it should say it under your hood on one of the stickers, i know mine has the 4:10 gears and at 100 its pretty much at redline, so you must have alot taller gears.

mine is all stock as far as mods go and it doesnt have any problem pulling heavy loads 10-12k

Default " how much does it cost to get gears changed"

I have 98 ram with v10. A work truck.
rear end went out so i found one cheap from a private seller.
he kept saying that the rear end was a 3. 55.
I did t care as long as that wasn't the price.
the diff in before and after was huge.. if i couldn't see i was driving my truck i wouldn't have belived it was..
Used to run interstate speeds at 2400-2800 rpms.. now its 1600- 2100.
Its a work truck and i pull a covered trailer pretty much all day everyday and the 355 gear with 315 tires seemed to work the truck on take off.
went back to stock 265 and I now enjoy driving the the truck.
no more listening to it screaming and vibrating as it guzzled gas in some pathetic attempt to keep up with the prius in front of me on the on ramp.
no more hanging in the far right lane behind some school bus so a drive across town doesn't cost you $2726362627
before the gear change i saw the truck as POS that couldn't die soon enough.
now im putting money in it hoping I can get another 4-5 years out of it

The V-10's seem to last forever, and yes, there are indeed thirsty. There is a BIG hole in the gastank, that leads directly to the engine.

No experience with tuners for 'em though. Hemifever, and Flyin' Ryan both offer them. I think.

The 47re and 46re have tall first, second, and 4th gears. Makes using a 4.10 rear even more important. I had 3.55s in my 98 5.9l. Wasn't the happiest with them. I love the 4.10s in my v10 even with 35s. Although I think 4.88s and 37s are in the future.

I have 4.56 and 33's.... Too much gear for those tires. Need to bump to 35's.

I think 4.56s and 35s would be perfect.
