Load rating on tire
A couple shops I went to to get a quote tried talking me out of the E rating. Just taking a look at the specs on the tire rack

Not sure to go with the 285 75 16 D rating or E. Or maybe just go with some 295 75 16 with the D rating. Making a fair bit of an investment here and just don't want to make the wrong one

I'll be doing mostly city driving. I want to go to a larger tire because my 265s look dinky on my truck. Not a diesel. Be going out on every weekend i can to the woods camping and fishing, hauling loads of firewood every now and again and maybe once in a blue moon or so hauling a large trailer. I notice the D rating tires have a wee bit more tread depth. Just not sure what route i want to take. Any problem just doing 295s? Just being **** here i guess
i dont think there is any reason not to buy E rated tires if you are considering putting significant weight on your truck. they handle the pressures, wieght and heat much better. the last thing you want to do is be stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire saying "shoulda got the Es" lol.
My toyos are E rated, they are a little stiffer, but i run 50psi when im empty and it softens it up some. when im loaded i use 70psi in the rear and 65psi in the front.
