so im thinkin of lowering my truck just cause i dont like it being higher in the back, but i dont want to raise the front yeah i know im crazy like that. so how would i swap the rear springs from the top of the axle to the bottom? or is that even possible?

 

I ran across 2" drop shackles at one point. Do a search for some. That would probably be easier than what your trying to do.

Ok first why? you cant be that cheap...second you would need a flip kit from a lowering company like A.I.M or slam get a trucking mag and look at it you will find out that a leveling kit and front shochs are going to be way cheaper than lowering the rear

1 a good under over spring flip kit needs to be welded on

2 you are going to get shorter shock for the truck ( more exspensive than longer shocks)

3 you will hit the bump stops in the rear faster if you decrease the travel of the springs

4 you will needs stiffer rear springs for the rear if you decide you want to put something heavy in the bed (when empty rides like a buck board)

5 you will get way to much axle wrap when you jump on it from a dead stop then you will need traction bars.

I could keep going but i think you get the point ( I hope)

1- bolt on relocators will be just fine
2- he can get shock mount extenders
3- to do it right he would HAVE to put in a notch, so no worries there
4- uses stock springs, so no change in ride quality or payload
5- not sure on that one



now, if you did do a flip kit, your front will be higher than the rear cause it will be dropped around 6 inches......

if you dont ever haul much of anything, you can remove one of your leaf springs and it will bring it down a little bit......

drop shackles or front spring spacers would be about the same price.........

i was going to say this as well. tons of trucks use "spring under" rear suspension, they have some wrap but nothing to freak about. if your that worried about it, you can pick up some Caltracs (or similar style), they will prevent the wrap and make you hook up like a ***** on welfare day.

 

And then I come rape the **** out of you dip****s every time.

OP, it will be easier, cheaper, and a better solution in the long run to just level the front end out.
