3.90 or 4.10 gear swap
the transfer case isnt going to matter. in hi range its 1:1. O/D is 0.69:1.
i put eveything into a calculator
Trans gear ratio: 0.69:1
diff ratio..........: 4.10:1
tire diameter....: 30.45" (245/75/16)
mph...............: 60
RPM = 1873.75
If anything is incorrect, please tell me

That is good information to know I searched and searched last night and could not find a defnitive answer to the transfer case issue. I am considering changing my gears so I appreciate the heads up on that. Thanks

Awsome guys thank you so much for the information. I'm gonna get the 4.10 gears then. Thanks so much this has really cleared a lot of questions I had! If the rpm @ 60mph is 1800 then it would be pretty much the same if I went with 4.10 gears.

im pretty sure all transfer cases (with the possible exception of vehicles like unimogs and hummers, etc) use a 1:1 hi range. it is just a collar that connects the input shaft to the output shaft. lo range is a different story, they vary from case to case.
I lifted up the rear end to see what kind of rear end I have. The tires spin the same direction when I spin 1 tire so reading from this website that means I must have a Posi right? If so does this change anything for me wanting to get 4.10 gears?
As far as the 46RE... all Dodge pickups with the 5.2L or 5.9L V8s came with 46RE transmissions between 1996-2002.
