Default Peeling paint

My 96 Ram has been peeling since I bought it 6 years ago. It is white, and has been peeling all over. Was this a problem with that model, or with Dodge in general? I'm afraid a decent paint job will cost more than what the truck is worth.

Mid 90s there were problems with primer if I remember correct. Guys I know with Fords & Chevs had the same issue as well.

If my understanding is correct, if they were assembled in Mexico they had more problems in some of the mid 90's. Was to be corrected in mid 96. Mine was built up in Mexico and thought I had missed the problem, however, in the last couple years have had some peeling on the box. So far no problems with the cab. Good Luck.

Question Mine is peeling too...

I have a '96 maroon and it's also peeling badly all over. I guess there is nothing we can do about it, short of getting a new paint job? Right?

Thats strange for an 01. It seems like dodge had it figured out by then. My truck doesn't seem to have that problem.

The roof on my white '96 started peeling last fall. Big patch of gray primer showing now. Plan to get it painted this summer (just the roof).
