Thinking about removing CAT
I am not sure if there has been a post about this in the past so im posting this question. Now, I haven't crawled under to check, but I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of there head if there are 02 sensors associated with the CAT for a 95 Dodge Ram 1500. I was thinking about removing it for more sound in the exhaust when I put my dual system in. It is an OBD I system. I plan on crawling under there this weekend to map it out.

FWIW, I just gutted my cat 2 weeks ago. I removed the exhaust downtubes and cat, cut the cat open, emptied the cat and welded it back together.
It runs so much better and no O2 codes. Plus I got a deeper exhaust note too.

you can get a magnaflow cat from summit for fairley cheap. Thats what I did with mine when my cat went out because the emission laws in GA require me to have some kind of cat. The truck runs alot better. Behind my cat I have a flowmaster 40 series cat back system and with the magnaflow cat it dosnt even sound like a normal 40 series its so loud people ask me all the time if I have strait pipes and a cop even stoped me and looked under my truck once to make sure I had a legal muffler.
