what should I get next?
step bars.
check out nasta brand. all stainless, no chrome to rust.
http://www.svcustoms.com/
I dont think superchips works for my truck 1998+ I think.
you are correct. hypertech does have a '97 product.
beware SCT is very expensive.
hypertech and superchips are a very mild timing improvement designed for pure stock engines. if you can buy it cheap, you can always sell it later.
death flash?
look on the pcm, passenger side firewall, for any stickers that say 'authorized software update'.
I was thinking of doing the 14x3 round.
its sort of noisy.

Not if you use a dremel and a set of files to make the top of the TB flat. Doing this cuts down on the sucking noise a lot.
In the parts business we called it the forgotten gasket. :0

death flash is what dodge did to try to fix the dreaded plenum leak, by doing so they lower the air/fuel ratio which kills mpg and performance. by getting a tuner it cures the flash and you get even more power. its a day and night diffrence
i bet the 5.2 with the death flash runs like a dog , wake that bitch up hehe
sct is good if your going to do lots of motor work , superchips and hypertech is good for bolt ons and minor stuff.
