I got some money kicking around, And I was wondering which mod I should do next? sorry, I think this has been posted a million times.


- dual exhaust(already booked)
- fastman tb 50mm
- hs 1.7rr
- cai( debating on what to do? dunno if i wanna do the 14x3 round set up)
- kegger mod

How about a 3 inch suspension lift?

But outta that list the 1.7 rockers are probably your best bet.

As far as the air cleaner thing I'd either do the 14x3 for maximum engine bay space, and price (about 40 bucks) or if you're gonna sink some money into get the ramair box for maximum performance and mpg gain.

 

about the 3 inch lift I kinda like the height it is right now. but i'll probably do that later in to future.

so get 1.7 rockers before the tb?


I like the looks of the 14x3 round, my area gets kinda dusty and muddy. so I was debating on just getting a better air filter for the stock box.


Cereal killer - I cant remember do you have the 14x3 round? how does it hold up, have you had any problems?

 

t.b. or 1.7's. Duals sound cool, but if you have plenum leak and death flash, fix that first.

 

Yeah I have one. It holds up fine to dust, just gotta clean it every 10,000 miles or so (K&N filter) or if you have a paper filter just replace it. They're cheap, and it's easy to do.

As far as mud it depends on what you mean. Regular mud won't be a problem. Keep your stock box around though to put on if you plan on going through DEEP mud or water. And by deep I mean like 2 Feet deep or more. But if you're just going through regular trail mud you'll be fine. I've gone through like 3 foot of water without drowning my aircleaner. Just gotta go slow.

 

last time I check I dont have a plenum leak, I think its all good but I'll check again any ways just to make sure.

I cant wait to have the duals put on.

I'll order the 1.7 rockers sometime next week after I check the ifs theres a plenum leak.


ya I was meaning like regular mud, I live in the city and sometimes I adventure out. so the 14x3 should be good. but I'll keep the stocker just in case.

I would say replace the plenum that way its done and over with. I would think about some new gears. Than the 1.7's

 

nice looking truck.
how about step bars, amp and speakers.
look for a used hypertech or superchips. about 150-250 used. make sure its unlocked.

 

i would 1st check for the death flash !!!! if you have that make superchips the 1st mod it will be a day and night diffrence in performance.
even if you dont have death flash it will be a big improvement.

after that i would do exhaust you will get most power with a highflow cat and a cherry bomb extreme or the flowmaster original 40, if you want it loud add a cut out

and for more power your truck will need too breath adding a cai and a fastman will help for sure....

i like the 1.7 rockers, but i would get the cheeper easyier stuff to make it run better and it will save your motor also , but have it on you list for things too do i like em alot

I dont think superchips works for my truck 1998+ I think.

lastrights - What marking does it have if I have the death flash?
my truck goes in for duals next week, I got a less aggressive sounding muffler to be nice cause I come home from work in the early morning.

I was thinking of doing the 14x3 round.
