I have seen a zillion threads lately of people having there ABS and brake lights lit up on the dash, and I also was battling the same issue. I replaced the sensor on the rear axle and cleaned other sensor plug-ins all to no avail.

But, just today I was tracing wires starting at the sensor on the rear axle, and I didnt make it very far and I found my issue. Right where the wires, the axle breather tube, and the brake line are all routed from the axle to the frame, there was a zip tie which had worn through the electrical tape and wire loom and damaged one of the wires (white one) for the rear axle sensor. TA DA! And I know this is it because when I drove my truck just after this both lights were off and the speedo was working just fine (all from basically just wiggling the wire where it has been damaged). So now all I have to do is properly splice it back to gether and I should be good to go for a while.

Although this may not be most peoples issue, I though I would post it up for one area to check... you never know.

To be 100% honest, its almost like I can not tell the difference. Maybe a smidgen better taking off, but other than that it feels like it has for the last 160k miles. I haven't done any full throttle take-offs or anything so I don't know about that.

In another week or so I will be able to report on how the gas mileage is... hopefully slightly better.
