Default Cleaning my throttle body

Hi guys! Been lingering around here a long time, and done tons of searches.....Time to start asking questions.

I took my throttle body off today to clean it up, doesnt look like there is a gasket at all left

Anyway, I work at a machine shop and was going to take it to work and bead blast it with some light/medium glass beads. If I take the 3 sensors off, this should be ok right? Of course after the cleaning I will put it in the solvent tank and then blow it clean with air. It should look like new after this

Just wanted some comments on this.

If you want to clean it properly you have to remove the 3 sensors. Especially the IAC, I would not bead blast however, damage to the ports will occur. Solvent is plenty to clean it up.

The proceedure is pretty simple:
1) Grab paid of gloves
2) remove all three sensors and screws
3) spray/soak in cleaner
4) Wipe down to remove any grease/film not removed
5) grab a new seal for both above and below the tb
6) replace everything

I have no clue about the glass beads and such but personally don't see how it would really gain you anything.

I wouldn't waste the time blasting it. Mine cleaned up just fine with carb cleaner.

You are right, it is pretty simple. Except for one thing, I would remove the screws first then the sensors,

bore it out to 50mm!!!!
Not a bad idea
Need to do some research to know exactly what/how to bore it. Is the TB aluminum, or just cast steel?

its aluminum...but dont bore it out to 50mm...thats too big for the stock intake manifold im assuming you have. 52mm is about as big as you should go with what you have stock.
