Default May have pulled wrong relay

I just started on the plenum replacement and as per the instructions, pulled the fuel pump relay. Truck died immediatelty so thought i might have pulled wrong one. i then replaced the relay and pulled the fuel (system) fuse and the truck died immediately again only this time , the battery (neg) popped a spark. I replaced both the relay and the fuse. Now every time i try to start the truck it just throws a small spark at the neg terminal and then truck has no power supply at all until i dis/reconect neg bat terminal. Any clues??

Sounds like the neg. battery terminal is not making good contact.

While tearing down to get to the plenum gasket, I think I may have found the problem. The ground cable for the injector harness was broken where it connects at the power steering pump bolt. With any luck, once I get it all back together, it will work. Btw..thanks for the advice Zman.
