do you think it would be MISERABLE on 265's until i could get new tires. i mean ive been quoted for about $1200 parts and labor and itll be a while before i can get the 33's..i really want crazy acceleration and would still like to go at least 80 on I-75 i just want to get the gears to satisfy me once rather than regear twice

I don't think so. How long until you get new rubbers?

well im not sure i mean the tread is still real good on these and im prolly going to go get a credit card with 0% interest for a year to pay for the gears and break up the payments to about $100 a month so i mean i could just add the extra cost of tires onto it and finace that out too..im not really sure when i would get em

4:56's on the stock tires or 285's arent that bad yes you will lose a little top end but not alot you will get max mph 85 and spool about 2400 to 3000 rpms on the highway. and more rpm's means more gas being sucked.
But on city driving you will be laying patches of rubber every time you stand on it from the light so the tires will be bald in no time LOL

You're gonna have to learn to take it easy on the skinny pedal again once the truck learns to get out of its own way

That will never happin. Last night on the way home from work my friends where in front of me. We where making a left I went to power slid it and did a 180. Didn't mean to go that far around. It was sick and scary at the same it. The road was wet as well. I do it there all the time but didn't take into account the wet road.
