plenum torque
I did my plenum pan and when i started it i ran it for 2 minutes and when i stopped it my spark plugs were full of oil,
My question is what torque did you all torque the plenum pan ( i did read the haynes book but found only in torque in ilbs but i want to know the ft lbs

going from memory here and this may not be right, but its something like 84 in pounds.
to convert to ft/lbs, you divide by 12, so it would be 7 ft pounds
sorry about the oil, could it be something else, like PCV or valve seals or something. i'm just hoping for you. peek down in TB..

I feel your pain. Reminds me of the time I replaced my water pump and timing belt and after I put it all back together my Front Main Seal starting pouring out oil and I had to tear it all down again and replace the seal.
Stuff like that happens when you DIY, but it still saves you $$$ and gives you a fun hobby.

Not those 84 in-lb bolts you don't. Plenum (and intake manifold) bolts have a specific torquing sequence that requires increments of something like 12 in-lbs at a time. No job for an impact gun.
