Just use a OBDII tool like a ScanGauge II... Makes life much easier to diagnose things. The SG II works fine on my 1996 Dodge. It save a bunch of trouble of counting flashes and trying to figure out whats wrong...

Or you can go the free route..... go to the auto store and have them run the code. I need to make a phone call on this, I have never heard any difference in the pcm's on the 1997 model.....

I might have read the codes wrong the first time.

if I cant figure it out the free way, I'll go to the an auto parts store.
