Default Heads/Cam/Shocks Question

For my 318, could I just buy a pair of 360 heads and slap em on? Or would I need to upgrade some other parts of my motor?

Has anyone cammed out their 318? And possibly without pulling the motor? I've heard you can do it just by removing all the fan/shroud/etc and replacing it easy.

Also, if I do coil spacers/add-a-leafs to lift my truck, will I need longer shocks or stick with stock length? I'm gonna replace them anyway

Well The headers will or should fit. For the lift it depends on how high you want to go odds are yes.

Heads are the same for the 318 and 360
Haven't done a cam swap myself but I'm really sure you can do it without pulling the motor
Shock length will depend on how much lift. Contact whoever your going threw for the lift.
I would recommend contacting http://www.topguncustomz.com/index.php

Would the 360 heads even do anything for me?

yes same heads. However stock heads suck and do crack sometimes.

Yes you can do a cam swap without pulling the engine

Most likely you will need longer shocks

Has anyone tried out different compression heads? Since we have 9.1 I talked to a guy who said he had 11.1 edelbrocks on his.

Bumping compression will help, but you will need a real tune though cause it will cause ping with a can tune.
AC condensor stays in, rad/fansshroud need to be pulled to get the cam out

Nice. now can someone direct me to where I can educate myself on cam/lifters?
I am clueless when it comes to ratios and lifts right now.
