I figured you didn't have cruise because I remember you saying your truck was standard (manual locks etc) I don't have cruise, but that just means one more clip for ya. And yes you could look down the tb, but figured while you had it off if wouldn't hurt to look. You can get a better view with it off. I know someone who might sell you a half done kegger mod and a plenum pan when your ready to do yours lol haha so how the tune-up going so far?

This is rather long winded for plug wire change...

Most of the guys here are right it doesn't take much. Like on my older 70's Dodges you just found TDC on #1 and look at the rotor position and counted out 1, 8, 4, 3, 6, 5, 7, 2 and you done... I assume this same method works here too.

To find TDC on #1 pull #1 spark plug and have some tap the starter or roll the crank till compression stoke ends.

What can I say i'm a old school kid that grew up working on a 1973 Dodge Charger SE...

Not to get off topic but... your 1996 has a 46RE, not a 42RE. 42RE transmissions were only found with the V6. 46RE with the V8s.

Keep an eye on eBay. Once in a while I see a 52mm TB on there.
